Technology Classroom 4008 is outfitted with 6 computer stations, each linked to the instructor's station. This link system allows the instructor to speak through a headset directly to one student, monitor what is on the student's screen, or communicate and broadcast what is on their screen to the entire class.

Computer Station Details

linked_classroom.jpg Each computer station contains a Windows-based computer along with an M-Audio Ozonic keyboard and audio interface. The Ozonic has microphone and line inputs to facilitate recording and also contains a small keyboard for musical input. Software installed on these computers will include Finale, Sibelius, Ableton Live, M-Powered ProTools and others.

Classroom Usage

Classes within the Department of Music that utilize the Technology Classroom include Music Theory, Ear Training, Composition and Topics in Sound Technology. Students enrolled in these classes and Music Major have ID card access to the Technology Classroom 24-hours a day.
