Technology Classroom 2020 contains 11 computer stations, a laser printer, Petrof 6' grand piano, overhead projector and the instructor's station.
Computer Station Details
Each of the 11 computer stations is a Windows-based computer combined with an M-Audio Keystudio 49i keyboard/audio interface. The Keystudio 49i has microphone and line inputs to facilitate recording while also containing a small keyboard for musical input. Software installed on these computers includes Finale, Sibelius, Ableton Live Suite, ProTools, REAPER, McDSP Emerald Pack and others. Students monitor audio with Sony MDR-7506 headphones.
Classroom Usage
Classes within the Department of Music that utilize the Technology Classroom include Music Theory, Ear Training, Composition and Topics in Sound Technology. Students enrolled in these classes and Music Major have ID card access to the Technology Classroom 24-hours a day.
