Podcasting technology utilized in the Spring '08 offering of MUS397 was the subject of a recent blog article titled "Modern Electronica Podcasts or Cool Music".

MUS397 is an advanced composition class whose topic changes each year. In Spring '08, students were asked to submit weekly composition assignments created using Ableton Live that were "in the style of" the week's genre of Electronica. Genres covered were:

1. House
2. Techno & Trance
3. Big Beat
4. Jungle & Drum'n'Bass
5. Ambient/ChillOut/Downtempo
